My Pregnancy Truths #3 Hormones

I thought I would start a truthful series of things I have experienced while being pregnant. These posts are simply my experience and are not researched or applicable to all pregnancies. Please feel free to comment if your experiences are different to mine or if you want to simply share your pregnancy experiences.

My hormones have been all over the place since I was a teenager. When it comes to my 'special time of the month' (blushes) I am the angry, throwy, shouty and nasty type. I am horrible but I can't manage it. I often know why I am being unreasonable but can't seem to stop myself. This has intensified during my pregnancy. Especially between weeks 9-15. I got angry when Jimmy brought home the wrong milk and sometimes for literally no reason. It was awful.

I am currently at 24 weeks and I have become more tearful and upset over daft things rather than angry. I much prefer this because it seems not to last as long. When I cry over XFactor I can laugh at myself for being daft but when I am angry it takes ages for me to calm down and get back to normal.

I am relived that I have calmed down a lot and I think Jimmy is now beginning to understand my moods more. He has stopped saying things like "can you hear me through your hormones?' "why are you being so mardy?" and "can't you just think I'm being unreasonable and act normal?" All of which are really helpful as you can imagine. I just hope now that things have calmed down my hormones stay as level as they can be.
